I am trying to download Navman's 'Navdisk' software for my new car GPS unit.

When I go to the Navman website and click on the download icon, the download starts in the dock but when it completes the application is not there?

If I manage to click the downloaded application before it dissapears my Mac says it can't open the application because it cannot be found.

I have had this same problem when trying to download Brother printer software/drivers.

Can anyone help, as I am stumped as to what to do to update my new Navman GPS?

Thanks pfgchippy

Thanks for your advice allen a, but they are not zip files they are .dmg files which just disappear the moment the download completes?

The file is Navdesk.dmg, the Navman website advises that I click on this file after download and open the Navman installer.pkg which I am unable to do because the file does not appear in the downloads file after completion of the download sequence.

Has me baffled.

Wondered if the Mac has settings that are not allowing the .dmg file to be held on the hard drive?

I have briefly changed the settings to allow application downloads from non Mac/app store locations but no difference.
