I have a MacBook Pro 15-inch, early 2011, 2 GHz Intel Core i7, when I take the power cable out my battery symbol turns red and suggests I service the battery, what should I do as I it has a non removeable battery?

take your MacBook Pro to your nearest Apple store; they can replace the battery there. (The battery is removable, but it’s not conveniently removable.)

Not removable as meant by the user
The battery however removes very easily enough in service.

I apologize if this is off topic. I just obtained a late 2011 15 in mbp. It would only work if it was plugged in. I replaced the battery and the same. The battery was not charging. However the MagSafe was green. After some research I disconnected the battery indicator cable and it started charging as normal. Of course the sleep function did not work. My next step was to order a new battery indicator cable. Hopefully this will fix it. Anyone have similar experience?
Service the battery indicator.
