password not working on restore
when I click on restore iPhone, a messages comes up to put my password in. my regular apple/itunes pw won't work. I have no idea what to do. please advise.

Place the iOS device in Recovery Mode and then connect to your computer and restore via iTunes. The iPod will be erased.

If recovery mode does not work try DFU mode.

Hi there, thanks for your reply. I am actually trying to restore the 6th generation ipod nano. So it doesn't have the home button. I don't know how to put it in 'recovery mode'. Please advise?

You posted in the iPod touch forum and in your intitial post you said "restore iPhone".
I made that mistake of writing the wrong title and posting in the touch forum. Do I need to post in the ipod nano forum? I looked at the link and tried to put the ipod nano in 'disk mode' but that didn't seem to work. After pressing volume down and on/off button, I pressed volume up and down buttons together but it did nothing. I still have the problem of password being required when I click on 'restore' ipod nano on itunes.
