I am planning to import an Phone 5s from the US to India. Will it work properly in India? Will its warranty work in India? And can it be repaired in India?
While it may work with some bands in India, the warranty is only good in the US. The phone will also have to be an unlocked phone for it to work in India. The phones sold in the US are not compatible with the LTE bands in other countries.
It will work on compatible 3G networks. It will NOT work on LTE networks outside of North America.
The warranty is NOT valid outside of the US. It can not be serviced, either in or out of warranty, by any authorized service provider outside of the US.
Why don't you do a forum search, using the terms "US iPhone, India". You can see first hand, what a huge mistake this is. But, it's your money, do what you want.
Thanks for the reply. 😁 But will it not even be serviced? And is there a need of service for the phone? Does it have trouble and you nedd to run to the service center often?

Serviced? Heck, no one will even touch it in India, let alone service it. You're on your own.
Search yourself.
Theoretically if you keep the phone long enough you may eventually need a new battery (we have one 2+ years and still okay with present battery). There's always a chance that anything can go wrong. It will all be on you now, even if it happens 2 months after buying the phone unless you can bring it back to the USA.
If you drop the phone and break the screen (not an unusual post here) it will need service. You might be able to find a non-Apple resource for this but Apple will never look at the phone again for anything if you should ruturn it to the USA and get a friend to bring it in for service for something that cannot be repaired by a non-Apple provider.
