continued problems with home sharing and airplay with apple tv. keeps dropping out

I want to now what the best solution for me is.

Apple TV keeps losing its capability to airplay or homeshare from Macbook air and iPhone 5. All software is up to date. Doesnt happen during connection but sometimes when I boot Apple TV up it does not recognise any devices. All are on same wi-fi network and all within close proximity of router.
