Q: I forgot the password to unlock iphone backup. I am trying to unencrypty the iphone backup

I am trying to restore from backup my iphone 5, But it is asking for password which I forgot.

What to do?

iPhone 5, iOS 7.0.4

You don't use that backup to restore from.  Without the password, that backup is useless to you.

 

Try some of the following troubleshooting steps in  http://support.apple.com/kb/TS5162 (particlularly, check to see if the password is stored in your keychain).
