I have the newest version of Pages. With Pages '09, I was able to copy a text box, then go into PowerPoint for Mac 2011, and Paste Special as an image. Now, with the new Pages, I can only paste as text. How do I copy a textbox from Pages and paste it as an image to PowerPoint now?

Go back to Pages '09 which should be in your Applications/iWork folder.
Pages 5 has had over 95 features removed by Apple and is a rolling beta (but Apple isn't telling you that).

I still have Pages '09, I was just hoping there was a way to do this with Pages 5, since that's the main one I'm using, now.
Objects copied to the clipboard were previously converted to pdfs, Apple has changed that.
Some copies get rendered as crude bitmaps, others as you have noticed change to text.
Goes with the territory (the handicapped parking spot, next to the door, that Steve Jobs used).
