Is there really no way to recover my account if my two-step verification methods were stolen?

The support page says: "If you have permanently lost any two of these items, you will not be able to sign in or regain access to your account. You will need to create a new Apple ID."

I had both my wallet containing my recovery key and my iPhone which was my authorized device stolen at the same time.

Now if I ever want to be able to manage my account or change my password I am totally screwed?

Come on Apple, there has to be another way I can verify my ID!

Can I come visit Cupertino with my passport and drivers license??

ANYTHING?

If I want security, I have to give up all my music/movies/apps and iCloud email address permenantly?

This is really disappointing Apple.

I believe the issue is that Apple can't access your account either, since they don't have one of your trusted devices or recovery key either. It's really important to have a copy of your recovery key in a separate location to avoid this kind of thing from happening. You can try contacting the Apple account security team and see what they have to say: http://support.apple.com/kb/HT5699.
