I am having trouble installing OS X 10.5 on my iBook G4 it currently runs OS X 10.4.11
I put the disc for Leopard in my external cd/DVD drive and the window comes up to install, I click that then the window comes to to restart to start the installation process but when restarts it goes back to were it was the installation process doesn't start.

Is it a retail DVD? If not where did you get it?
How much RAM do you have and what speed is your processor?
I downloaded it as an ISO and burned it to a DVD.
Mac OS X Version 10.4.11
Processor: 1.07 GHz PowerPC G4
Memory 256 MB Built-in

There never was a full version of 10.5 that was downloadable from the web.
There were updates that were downloadable but in order to use them you had to have 10.5 on the Mac first.
10.5 DVDs are available on the web with a going price of around $200.

I suspect this site is acting illegally.
It is probable that you have downloaded an illegal copy of a model specific installer which will only work on one type of Mac.
I see that they charge more than Apple for some software.
I concur with Neville.
Buy the DVD from Amazon.
