4.1.1

Just to say that an update has been posted in the App Store. Installed and so far have run one (successful) Send To Compressor test.

Here's a description.

• Resolves issues installing Compressor on a system where Qmaster was previously enabled
• Improves reliability of Send to Compressor from Final Cut Pro X
• Addresses distributed encoding errors when source files are not on the startup volume
• Fixes errors that could cause a hang when submitting a batch
• Fixes a stability issue that could occur if multiple Compressor plug-ins are installed
• Resolves an issue when viewing a plug-in setting without the plug-in installed
• Includes general stability improvement

Seems to have solved my very problematic distributed computing issues. I have 4.1.1 installed on a MacMini server and a MBP and the two finally will talk and seem to be sharing the work on their way through a 90 minute h.264 encode. (This file failed when tried on more than one computer prior to the 4.1.1 upgrade.)

Aside from utilizing both machines, each machine CPU appears to be working at over 90% load - which is an improvement over the 60-70% utilization before.

Still there is an overhead involved with multi machine rendering so we'll see when this current encode is complete if the multiple machines actually improve total times.

best,

x
