Why won't my trash empty

I have tried to empty my trash but it just does not do it I go to the Finder's file tab press empty trash securly but it start to empty but it doesnt empty. any ideas

If a Restart doesn't allow you to Empty the Trash...

How to empty the trash when it won’t let you:

First, in Finder, create a folder named “empty” then move it into the trash. Move all of the files that are in the trash into the “empty folder” that is now in the trash, and then empty trash. It worked for me. The only difference was that I moved my files into an existing folder already in the trash.
