my ipad decided to turn itself off it had alot of battery power. i was using it and the screen went black. ive tried turning it on and plugging in the charger with no effect. any idea what the problem could be?

Try reset iPad
Hold down the Sleep/Wake button and the Home button at the same time for at least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears
Note: Data will not be affected.
