Q: I have a MacPro built in 2006. I am now getting the error message, "You need to restart your computer. Hold dow the Power button until it turns off, then press the Power button again." Any suggestions as to the problem?

Tell us what hardware you have for starters. Mac Pro 1,1 isn't enough. RAM, hard drives, PCIe cards, even what version of OS X and what graphic card.

Kernel panics are stored in a non-volatile RAM, then copied into a log. They can be read out and examined for details of the problem. You can cut-and-paste one here.
