Force empty files in TRASH

Files in my trash that will not empty. The message is that they are "in use", but I cannot find them anywhere else in the computer. How can I force empty files in TRASH that resist empty? Normal Hold Option key + Empty trash or Option + Finder>Empty trash do not work.

Hello Missy Artsy

Not quite sure how that solved your question. Secure empty trash is really only for CIA, M15 and similar documents. It takes seven times as long to use this facility as the normal empty trash
