WiFi Strength Always Drops on Macbook Pro

Hi

I have a MacBook Pro running OS Mavericks bought during the summer of 2013. I have been running into internet strength drops a lot recently. I am using ATT Uverse and I normally get speeds around 20 mb/s. But now, every one minute or so it will drop to a speed around 2 mb/s but after while it goes back up to 20 mb/s. This makes online gaming very difficult as I will constantly be disconnecting. Any help would be much appreciated. Thank You!
