Just to add that everything worked just find before i updated the app,after the update i wasnt able to locate my device
iPhone 4S, iOS 6
Try going to Settings>iCloud and turning off Find My iPhone, then turn it on again after a few seconds.
Did thay still the same...
Try force closing the Find My iPhone app by double tapping the home button, locating Find My iPhone in the list at the bottom, tapping and holding it until it wiggles, tap ➖ to close it, then tap the home button again.
Tried that still cant locate the device
If it's just a single device, the only other thing I can suggest is to try restoring it. If you do, be sure to back it up first.
After the last update from find my iphone app i cant locate my device anymore does anyone have a solution im using ios 6.1.1! Thanks
