More Remote app issues

Please help: Im new to the forum

I cannot get the remote app on iphone 5 to pair with itunes on my Mac.

I have tried all the steps listed in below article:

Everything was working fine until a few days ago...

I run a router to a switch that then runs cat6 cable- directly to my mac and my PC as well as to 2 airport expresses and 1 airport extreme all of which are in bridge mode and act as WAPs.

I have double and triple checked the home sharing settings on both iphone and itunes.

I have tried uninstalling and reinstalling remote app on iphone.

They are on the same network

Interestingly.... we have na old ipad that is not used much. I decided to install the remote app and it had NO problem syncing with the itunes on my MAc- it was flawless. Meanwhile my iphone 5 is next to it and cannot pair w/ itunes????

Any suggestions greatly appreciated. It seems that it must be an issue with my iphone settings since the ipad worked fine?
