If Find my iPhone was not activated on your daughter's phone BEFORE it was stolen, there is no way to track it. Make sure you are logging in on the Find my Phone app (or on iCloud) with the same Apple ID and password that is on your daughter's phone.

If the phone (or iPad nad Mac) are off, you will not be able to track the particular device(s).
