Is there a way to fix this?
I can manage to get the audio files to playback normally when I run as Administrator & Windows XP SP3 Compatibility, but when I attempt to "Get Info" on a track the program will crash, so this is only a temporary fix.

Well, after some messing around I solved the problem.
Edit>Preferences>Playback>Play Audio Using: "Windows Audio Session" allows the files to playback normally.
What was the previous setting that caused problems?

Edit>Preferences>Playback>Play Audio Using: "Direct Sound" was the previous setting.

Installed iTunes 11.1.4 on Windows 8.1 and audio playback stutters then speeds up or stops.
