Cannot Update iPhone 5 Apps

Cannot update any of my iPhone apps. The app store keeps defaulting to the U.S app store, but in settings it's set to the Australian app store. When I do get to update my apps, I am charged $1.00 AU. But then it defaults back to the U.S store, giving me the same problem.

Please help!
