I keep trying to play Quick Time movie and get an error message, why wont it play?

AVI is not a supported format.
Second:
Because it is a stolen version of the original.
Contact the Vendor, see if you can get a replacement or refund.
It's a stolen product and no replacement can be offered.

Quicktime doesn't support .avi files. Download VLC media player and use it to play .avi files.
why does my Mac Book pro no play QuickTime Player can't open "The.Hobbit-The.Desolation.of.Smaug.2013.DVDScr.XVID.AC3.Hive-CM8.avi".
