finding actual bitrate

I created new versions of my music in iTunes to acc format and it changed the kbps on all my files to 256, since that is what I have it set in my iTunes import settings. I want to revert them to their original bitrate/kbps since a 256kbps file is larger than a 160 or 192 kbps file. How do I find the actual bitrate of a song?
