Go to your icloud.com account and run Find My Phone from the menu screen. You can then remove the device after restoring it.

Is it asking for the password for you Apple ID or another one you don't recognize?

And as were wisely told, did you log into iCloud and turn off Find My iPad for that device?

Your iPad will have to be on and connected to the internet to receive this command.

Turn it on and see if the WiFi umbrella appears. Or, it you have a WiFi+4G, it connects to your cell provider. If it does not you need to take your proof of purchased and make a Genius Bar at your nearest Apple Store. Or contact AppleCare.

It also may take a bit for Apple servers to update your information. You are sure it is this iPad that you removed from your Apple ID?

I would wait an hour or so and try it again. You may want to put it in Recovery Mode:
