uninstall VirtualBox error

hi all.

i have done a ton of research and finally figured out that i have to re-download the Virtual Box 4.2.4 download in order to find the virtualbox_uninstall.tool since it was not on my hard drive for some reason.

however, when i get the prompt after downloading and i try and double click on the uninstall tool i get an error that says:

" 'VirtualBox_Uninstall. tool' can't be opened because it is from an unidentified developer..."

i have gone ahead and RE-INSTALLED the VirtualBox app and tried this again but i get the same results.

any ideas on what i can do here?

for those that may be having the same problem -

the lowdown is to re-install Virtual Box so that you have the uninstall tool and then if you are getting an error double clicking on it use CTRL and Open the uninstall icon.

this will send you to a terminal looking interface where you have to enter "Yes" and then your user password.

then i just dragged the icon off the dock and i think i am uninstalled with VB.
