I just did a clean install of Mavericks, which was a total pain. Now, i'm trying to reinstall my apps and some of the apps I purchased in the App Store show "Installed" when they're not. Any suggestions?

Open a search window in the Finder and search This Mac for the names of the apps. If you don't find them, see below.
Rebuild the Spotlight index. If you try to search now from the magnifying-glass icon in the top right corner of the display, there will be an indication that indexing is in progress.
