Disc Recording Software not found

Ok so I open iTunes and I want to burn a playlist to a blank audio CD. I right click the playlist and select "Burn Playlist to Disc", and the window pops up with all the settings for how I want the CD to be burned. However, it says that I have no CD burning software, when I have burned CDs before with ease. I've read numerous other discussions regarding the same problem, I've tried uninstalling and reinstalling iTunes which didn't help, I've tried going into regedit with no avail, and I've tried other CDs and run diagnostics on my computer. Any help is greatly appreciated, I am at the end of my rope. Here are the results from the diagnostics run by iTunes:

Hi dkd1294,

Welcome to the Support Communities!

If the only issue you are having is with burning CD's then this article should be able to help you:

iTunes for Windows: Optical drive is no longer recognized, or "Disc burner or software not found" alert after install

http://support.apple.com/kb/ts2308

If you have any other issues with iTunes for Windows, you may need to uninstall iTunes and all of it's components, and reinstall the latest version as explained in this article:

Issues installing iTunes or QuickTime for Windows

I hope this information helps ....
