I have an old Iphone 3GS however about few weeks ago i noticed that my phone was expanding after charging to the point the back casing started cracking. Any reason why? and should I still send it for fixing?

If you can, visit an Apple Store or Authorized Apple Service Provider as soon as possible and show them your device.
Or contact Apple Support and tell them about your battery.
would anyone happen to know if we can still get photos off it somehow after battery has expanded.... thanks.:)
Try connecting to your computer with a USB cable.
i have... it doesnt seem to turn on, simpy the 'charging image' comes up.
I know with my other phone, unless its turned on and active then i cant copy the photos that pop up in iphoto... 😟
