    It is typical of failed keyboards to lose multiple contiguous keys. The keys share the same part of some circuit that has failed.

     

    What model iMac and what kind/model of keyboard? There are resources/instructions  on the web for repairing the older Apple Pro USB keyboards (model M7803). However the fact that you can often pick up a working USB board at a yard sale for under $5 makes investing the time it takes to repair very expensive.
