I accidentally let the iPhone 5 earpods connected to a computer with the volume at its max.
This happened for few minutes.
Could earpods get damaged by being exposed to a very high volume like that?
Now I'm listening to music with these pods again, and they seem to work as expected...

Then you probably have nothing to worry about .
your ear drums will be damaged before the headset
Fortunately, I didn't wear the pods during this "high volume" period :-)
The pods are brand new, thus I'd like to be sure nothing hurt them..
I said all seems to be ok with them, but I can't be sure..I'd like to know if, technically, a very high volume impact on the pods could damage them.

Go to an Apple Store if you want any more "technical confirmation
However if you have damaged them you will have voided the warranty anyway and Apple will have a record of your visit so no going back later😉
