Q: When I try to install a download it will not accept my mac password

When I try to install a download item and when I try to uninstall a program it says I don't have the correct password. I changed my password but it still won't accept it. Really frustrating.

iMac, OS X Mountain Lion (10.8.5)

Reset Password 10.7, 10.8...
