Every time anything opens in preview it prompty crashes and freezes, forcing me to quit the application. Does anyone know what I can do to fix this? Thanks

I am having the same problem, when ever I want to view PDFs in preview the computer freezes
Have you found a way to stop this from happening?
You need to close your finder and relaunch. Preview locks up the finder. I usually just reboot because it seems to be image pdf's. And once that happens your whole pc is on the fritz. Rebooting resolves the issue. The easiet way to avoid a crash is by clicking on another app, not finder and preview, then click the apple and force quit preview and then force quit -> finder -> relaunch. If that doesn't work then reboot.
This problem ***** and seems to be in conjunction with firefox for me.
