Oct 24, 2014 5:06 PM in response to onutodaby BC_Islander,Hi all,
I have the same problem as others (with error messages including "Syncing cannot be enabled on this computer"). I tried the easy fix above, but when I look through ~/Library/Application Support there is no folder for SyncServices or iSync. I tried searching the hd for both of those, and the only thing that came up was SyncServicesAgent, with a microsoft outlook icon.
Any ideas where to find syncservices or isync, or what they were replaced with? I'm running a late 2012 macbook pro, OSX 10.9.4, iTunes 12.0.1.26, iphone 4s with ios 7 and ipad air ios 7.
Many thanks,
Rick

This worked for me. I have a Mac. To get to the library folder you need to click finder, then GO, then hold down the option key and the library folder will show up.

I've searched for this solution for months!!! When I found OtterStCatch's solution I still could not fix my iTunes since I couldn't find the Library folder. Luckyj671 showed how to find the Library folder and OtterStCatch's solution fixed it for me.
Thanks guys!!

Nov 30, 2014 4:05 PM in response to OtterStCatchby Halffull67,I've spent hours trying to fix this problem, restores from time machine, new libraries you name it. Finally found OtterStCatch's solution - like others, worked for me. For anyone else searching, this solution fixes "itunes becomes unresponsive immediately when any device is connected". - the dreaded spinning beachball. Great find OtterStCatch.

Dec 16, 2014 9:25 AM in response to Deafhaddockby dugshnay,I *think* the equivalent path at least for Windows 7 64 bit is: C:\Users\<you>\AppData\Roaming\Apple Computer
Unfortunately for me after removing SyncServices and starting iTunes (12.0.1.26) attempts to Sync still cause iTunes to crash.

Dec 21, 2014 8:46 AM in response to dugshnayby dugshnay,Fwiw after a rebuild of my iTunes Library (Windows 7), I'm now able to Sync my iPhone 6 without crashing. I never did have to reset my phone, though I did try most if not all of the suggestions prior to the rebuild so perhaps it wasn't the rebuild alone which helped in my case. I know this thread is more Mac focused but I thought I'd share this anyway as it appears other Windows users are looking for answers.
As another data point, syncing my phone in iTunes 12.0.1.26 to my Macbook Pro (OS X 10.9.5) to a new library (had never synced to it before) did not have any problems at all.
