.mac mail account

Many years ago I signed up with Earthlink and got an Earthlink email account. Then Apple offered email using .mac so I switched to that. I've been using my .mac account for over ten years and want to keep it. However, I am consiering cancelling Earthlink and I'm wondering if I cancel Earthlink will I lose my .mac mail address?
