Do I need to bring my Macbook Pro Processor: 2GHz Intel Core Duo 32 bit to an Apple store inorder to have 64 bits to use Turbotax? Will the change effect anything else on my computer?

Sorry you need at least a Intel Core 2 Duo to run 64 bit kernel
