Safari is crashing and hanging ALL the time.... Help PLEASE??
OK...
I have been having this issue with Safari hanging and crashing all the time.....
I am at a loss as to what to do about it.....
I have backed my computer up with TimeMachine...
I want to get rid of these straggling items from these Apps so that if I do
a clean install from TimeMachine, I don't end up with these remaining items left from these Apps.....
now there were a few apps I had downloaded to see if they could help me
find possible corrupt files....
Now, I am unable to get these Apps out of my computer,.....
I have located these various items and folders and shown the path on how I got to these
items and folders......
Is it safe for me to trash these folders of uninstalled Apps????
Folders I want to trash….
finder > time machine line…. In my TimeMachine back up disk....
Folder Backups.backupdb
Folder My MacBook Pro
Folder 2014-2-14 Date & time of back up
Folder Macintosh HD
Folder Library -
***Folder Application Support -- **** has Folder named Symantec*** I UNinstalled this last week…
Can I safely drag this folder to the trash????
Now secondly…..
Go back to Library…..
Folder Preferences -- Has a bunch of Sophos items…
com.sophos.ac.plist
com.sophos.ac.plist.lockfile
com.sophos.dc.plist
com.sophos.dc.plist.lockfile
com.sophos.sau.plist
com.sophos.sau.plist.lockfile
com.sophos.sav.plist
com.sophos.sav.plist.lockfile
Can I safely drag these items to the trash????
if not, How can I get these out of my computer???
In finder window when I eject a HDD….
UNder Macintosh HD
Users> Shared>
Folders of Applications I have uninstalled….
CleanMyMac 2 - Folder
MacPaw Gemini- Folder
Can I safely drag these to the trash ???
If not, How can I get rid of them completely?????
also in my SHARED Folder …..
There is also an item called NavAPvc.log
what is this item ????? and does it belong there????
I am FULLY aware that it was stupid of me to load these on my MacBook ....
and this is why I have uninstalled them......
I have been having issues with my MacBook for a LONG time now.....
I think I might have some corrupt files on my computer and would like to locate them and try
to remove them if somebody can please help me.....
Now, I have tried resetting Safari.... This did not help.....
I also disabled Extentions..... This also did not help....
I only have 2 extentions..... Google Translate and Ad Block....
and like I said,... disabling them doesn't help at all......
Thank you in advance for your help with this......
