Play All, I Pod Touch

Someone please explain to me why apple doesn't have the "play all" feature for albums or artist on the Touch as they do on the Classsic I Pod. Really!? Try changing to the next song while riding a motorcycle.

Dont take this the wrong way, but thats the problem, you only get shuffle. That doesnt work real well when lets say you are playing a broadway show for example.

If you are playing one album, surely, all you do is navigate to the album in question, and tap the first song on the list? The first song on the album plays. When that song finishes, the second song on the album plays. And so on, in track order. Just what you want when listening to a Broadway show.

Step 1, navigate to artist and to one particular album:

Step 2, tap on Two Young Lovers:

Step 3 - if required. Turn off shuffle, by tapping the Shuffle icon so that it turns white:

But, you also indicate that you want to be able to "play all" songs by an artist. Okay, use a Playlist, and add each album.

One shouldnt have to do play lists to get these features.

Why not, that's what it's for?

I'll say it again. I shouldn't have to do play lists. No this doesn't solve the issue & no one has yet to explain why Apple does away with this feature for its more expensive players. BTW, I'll say it again when I am on my motorcycle I don't & am not able to be screwing around with the player. I just want to hit all & play either all my albums without the music being shuffled, or all artists. So again don't take it the wrong way, but stop telling me how to create play lists which I know how to do & maybe someone from Apple reading this explain to me why this feature is gone. I would get the Classic, but oh thats right, no Bluetooth! This should be a simple fix with a software update, ya think.

I'm going to take it the only way possible.

I don't know you, I've tried to offer solutions that I assumed you may have been unaware of, and all you've done is demonstrate your ingratitude.

It's perfectly obvious. Create playlists that do exactly what you want. Use those Playlists on your motorbike! You could have done this by now instead of arguing the toss about it with someone who has given their own time - for free - to help you.

Don't know that it will help but you could go to "Contact Us" then "Feedback" and express your wishes /comments to Apple, all your going to get here is other users like yourself. What I'm not understanding is why your iPod does not play out the enter album. I realize you don't want to be screwing around with your iPod when driving, good choice by the way. Maybe I'm just old but after an album plays out it would be a good reason to stop the bike stretch and pick a new album. Just a thought, Good luck, hopefully you find an answer.
