Q: Trouble printing using Airport Express.

I have 2 MacBooks and a Canon MP140 printer. I have been able to print with my printer plugged into airport express until the other day. Now, both macbooks show the printer offline. Help!

I have tried deleting the printer and then adding it back, no luck. Any idea's???

    Try resetting the printing system.

    Reset Printing System

Ping printer: If you have the printers IP address open Terminal applications/Utilities and at the prompt type: ping {printerIP}. You will get a reply or failure.

Have you shut down and restarted the printer? Hook it up directly to make sure it is working.

I had already tried resetting the printing system. That did not work. My printer wont have an IP address, its not a wifi printer. I had been printing via airport express (the printer is plugged into airport express). I tried restarting the printer and that did not work. I hooked the printer directly to the laptop and it works fine. I still need help!
