Exporting from ical to numbers Spreadsheet?

I have a large number of dates that are currently in ical that I need to export into numbers to create a spreadsheet for tax purposes.

Is this supported by Apple somewhere that I am not finding. I can only seem to export a .ics file that will not open in Numbers.

Thanks

Hello people from 30 months ago! This is the most current string I could find on this topic, so before starting a new, I thought I'd reach out to see if anyone was still listening.

I'm trying to do this same thing.. I have some great instructions to easily make it happen with Excel, but I don't have Excel on my system. I'm not a complete Apple nut or anti MS but I don't have the need (99% of the time) for MS Office so I avoid it, and anything else that unnecessarily creates communication/compatibility issues. I've chosen to live in Mac street for my own reasons, I try to shop locally, promote a worry free and friendly community, and avoid complicating things.

Call me old fashion. But this is what is driving me mad with apple software. My Calendars and Reminders and even Mail apps continue to stumble on my mobile devices (and OS) just enough to be more than acceptably irritating but anxiously concerning. I'm just a artist but I feel I have enough of a general knowledge of these applications as being in the realm of basic programming (compared to, well, anything else. Like Pokemon Go. **** Pokemon Go!). Please correct me if I am wrong. These apps are also the most used, depended on and if reliable, can be so powerful. Example - why I'm in this forum - Calendars can be easily used to collect so much data on a time line. If that data can be exported to a spreadsheet then the possibilities are endless. Timesheets, Journals, tracking whatever, ... ... So why cant I move that data from Calendar to Numbers. I ain't no programmer but I know that one could write that code in four and a half seconds. I don't use a Mac because they look pretty or because I'm a hipster or a hater. Well honestly I didn't have a choice because that's what my industry used when I grew up, but I also felt a reliability and simplicity came with, and the other choice made me feel I'd have to have at least have some knowledge programming to get by. I never wanted that. I buy cars and motorbikes to get me places safely, comfortably and reliably. I f****** love MotoGP, but I have no more time for tinkering with my vehicle as I do for my digital tech. It seems Apples thing was kind of anti PC/MS and Power To Them for it. But my Reminders app on my iPad keeps f****** up. It's just a f****** list for christ sake! And I can't even get close to Calendar's (iCal) potential without having MS Office on my system. Please please please! someone tell me I am stupid, I don't know nuttin, yo! and tell me there is a way to effectively export my calendars from [Apple] Calendar to [Apple] Numbers, in a usable functional state and I will send you an autographed copy of my upcoming biography and £50 cash. So hurry! The pound has lost it's paddle.

Thanks in advance!
