Why does Injustice keep crashing?

I have had the Injustice mobile app for quite a while, and when I first got it, it would not get past the loading screen for the first match whenever I pressed "Play" in the main menu. After a while of trying that, it finally went through, and I had played and enjoyed the game with some crashing. For the past six months, however, every single time I try to play Injustice, it will not play at all. I try to start a match, and once it tries to load, it will load for about 30 seconds and crash, sending me back to my home page. It was my favorite app for the longest time, and I just want to enjoy it once again. I have tried closing all my apps in the background, restarting my iPod Touch/Hard reset, reinstalling the app, and a combination of the three, but nothing has worked. I just do not know anything else I can do.

BTW I have an 32GB iPod Touch 4th Generation running iOS 6.1.5 with more than 10GB of room left, in case this helps.
