MainStage Crashes every time I use it live... What is the deal?

It overloads my CPU I am using a 2009 MacBook Pro Duo Core Intel with 8 gig ram and no other programs running.

I really want to use this software but it does not seem stable. What really frustrates me is that I see many other pros using it and it works for them but I have tried it several times and it can not make it through a show...

Really Frustrated! 😠

It may be my mac though.

Does MainStage have overloads (meaning: you are demanding too much from the CPU in your computer) or does MainStage crash (meaning: the application terminates unexpectedly).

it has overloads... when the cpu monitor peaks out the program freaks... the tracks become misaligned and the audio cuts in and out and the app freezes.

Running several channel strips with playback plugins... (up to 20 channel strips) these are used to run stems. I would like to use mainstage to run my guitar/keys and vocals as well but I cant get it to run consistantly running stems.

HI

If you are running up to 20 Playback channels, where are you storing the Playback audio files and the MS concert file?

The OS hard drive or ?

What drive speed (5400/7200/SSD)?

They are stored in the mainstage concert file on the same drive as the OS but is an SSD. I back up the MS files on another drive and then tranfer them to the SSD drive for the live performances.
