Battery Not Charging

Hi. I got the replacement battery based on the program for the Macbook Pro that Apple announced. Now after one week, the battery has run out and the battery will not charge with the power adapter. Anybody else notice this problem?

Macbook Pro, Mac OS X (10.4.7)

I am having a similar, albeit not exact program. I shut down my comptuer last night, tonight when i got home, it was real hot and apparently ahd still been on. At first it wouldn't start up and I had to press power button a couple times. I plugged in teh adapter but it has been stuck at 97% charged for over an hour now. I literally just got this thing two days ago - no reason why the battery should not go to 100% - any ideas???

Reset the PMU:

Shut down computer

unplug power

Remove Battery

Press the ON button for 10 seconds with the battery out, and the cord disconnected.

Replace battery

Replace cord

Turn on computer - PMU reset.

Charge the battery (if it will) to full, then run down to 0 again, and full again, and your battery should be optimized

If it doesn't fix after the PMU reset, bring it in!!!!

Yes, I am having the exact same problem. I got the replacement battery about a week ago, everything worked fine until today, now the battery is down to 0% and is not charging. One little green light flashes when I press a button on the battery. The power adaptor has its yellow light on ( I have a powerbook G4). I reset the power management unit, removed/put back the battery, ran disk repair, reset PRAM. I'm continuing to search the forums, please post if you find anything out.
