Enable the iCloud Download column and any items in the cloud but not on your computer will show a small cloud icon with an arrow pointing down.

In iTunes > Preferences > Store > uncheck the "Show iTunes in the Cloud purchases"
then check to see if it is gone.
You can also hide iTunes purchases from all devices here:

I had downloaded a movie from iTunes but it was incomplete. When I queried this I was told to delete the movie first, not as straight forward as it seemed. Your pointers and information particularly re i Cloud and the cloud icon were most helpful.
My first time to use this discussions site!
