Forgot to mention: I have also reset back to factory and restored to New...the setup went back to 7.0.4. During the setup the screen flipped around back upside down and still cannot rotate to landscape. I have followed direction given to me by Apple support. I saved or backed up all fills on my computer and iCloud. I have also tried the reset button and restart...still nothing. I was told if that did not work I would need to send the iPad in for service or go to a local apple support store. It appears that this has and still is happening to a lot of purchasers of the Apple iPads. What is going?
Reset the iPad by holding down on the sleep and home buttons at the same time for about 10-15 seconds until the Apple Logo appears - ignore the red slider - let go of the button
I followed your instructions and it flipped the screen back where it was no longer upside down but would not rotate landscape. So I did it again and it flipped the screen back upside down portrait. It does not rotate landscape and is upside down again.
