Need help to burn MP4 file to DVD. iMovie 10.0.2 doesn't give an export or create movie option.

I have updated to iMovie 10.0.2. There isn't an option to export or create file as a movie like the older version. I selected "Share" chose "File" and save to Desktop. When I click on the file Quick Time tells me it cannot convert the file to a movie. What do I need to do? How do I burn a MP4 file to a DVD? Please help. I never had a problem until I installed the upgrade to iMovie.

MacBook Pro, OS X Mavericks (10.9.1)

HI Arthur, I don't want to spend $80 not knowing if this will work. It should be simplier than that. Any other ideas??? When I select the file on my desktop it goes to QuickTime Player. However, QuickTime Player does not have the capability to convert the imovie to a .mov..... I just don't know what to do. I really don't want to spend a lot of money. Thank you!
