sprint iphone 5s voicemail error message password error password change failed

I just got an iphone 5s with sprint and I get this message when I try to set up visual voicemail. Similarly my brother has the 5c with virgan mobile and is having the same issue. If anybody knows or has any ideas on how to fix this issue please let me know. Thanks in advance, any help is appreciated.
