I cannot sync my itunes with my phone

I can't sync my Iphone 4 with Itunes anymore, I have windows 8 and everything is up to date on the Iphone and Itunes and my computer. On device manager apple usb thing doesnt come up under the universal usb options. On Itunes nothing is comming up either doesnt register my Iphone the wire is fine because it charges and on my computer it shows apple Iphone. Can anybody help me please?
