I rented a film and the audio and visuals are our of sync. When you pause and re- start its fune for a while but then slips out of sync again

I rented a film and the sound and visuals are out of sync. When you pause it and re-start it works fine fro a while then slips out of sync. I am using am ASUS laptop with Windows 7 premium
