    Hello Jean-Jack Loudes,

Thank you for using Apple Support Communities.

For more information, take a look at:

    Resolve issues with FaceTime calls

If you encounter issues making or receiving FaceTime calls, follow these steps:

    1. Ensure that your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch is up to date.
    2. Verify that FaceTime is enabled in Settings > FaceTime.
      • If the issue persists or if you see the message "Waiting for Activation", try toggling FaceTime off and then on again. See the Activating FaceTime section of this article for more information.
      • If you don't see the FaceTime setting, ensure that Camera and FaceTime are not disabled in Settings > General > Restrictions.
    3. Verify that the date and time are set correctly:
      • Tap Settings > General > Date & Time and turn on Set Automatically.
    4. Verify that both parties are connected to a Wi-Fi network or a cellular data connection and have an active Internet connection.
    5. FaceTime uses push notifications to send and receive invitations. Verify push functionality using Mail or other applications that use this feature.
    6. Verify that you have the correct phone number or email address.
    7. Restart your device.
    8. If using FaceTime over a Wi-Fi network, proceed to the "Wi-Fi network issues" section in this article.

If you are still unable to send or receive an iMessage, follow these steps

    1. Make sure that the contact trying to message you isn't blocked in Settings > Messages > Blocked.
    2. Verify that the contact you are attempting to send a message to is registered with iMessage.
    3. If the issue occurs with a specific contact or contacts, back up or forward important messages and delete your current messaging threads with the contact. Create a new message to the contact and try again.
    4. If the issue occurs with a specific contact or contacts, delete and re-create the contact in the Contacts application. Create a new message to the newly created contact and try again.
    5. Back up and restore your device as new.

    Have a nice day,

    Mario
