Whenever I switch applications, or close an option, or anything of that sort, the mouse will just act on its own and go where it thinks it will be most helpful. I tried hard/soft resetting but this did not fix it. I tried using my trackpad and bluetooth mouse but both acted the same way. I have no idea what to do, please help!

You might try resetting the PRAM.

FYI...people have read your thread. The reason there were no responses is that no one had a constructive suggestion.
Also FYI - these are user to user forums. We do not work for Apple. The impatient bump stuff is, to be candid, annoying.

Hi Barry. I tried resetting the PRAM (Holding cmd + option + p +r upon starting computer). I hope what I put in the parenthesis is what you meant by resetting the PRAM, because I tried doing that and it did give me the second startup screen, but my mouse still acts the same way as it did before 😟
Try one more "general trouble shooting" thing.
Reset the SMC.

Those items are the (more or less) standard troubleshooting steps. It might also be failing....
