Possible to Change Wi-Fi Shared Link Speed?

My MacBook Pro is connected to the Internet via Ethernet and our router's wireless option is turned off.

I would like to turn on Network Sharing to computers using Wi-Fi for short periods during the day. When I do so, the "Network Utility" reports that the link speed is 144 Mbit/s. We have a slow Internet connection so I would like to reduce the speed to 54 Mbit/s. Is there a way to do that in ML (10.8.5)?

The "Network Utility" also says …

Wireless Network Adapter (802.11 a/b/g/n)

Thanks,
